New Podcast Episode: "The Art of Spontaneity"
You are invited to a warm, practical, and inspiring workshop for people who want to remember who they are, recover their creative power, and build a life that feels true.
You do not need to be a professional artist, writer, musician, or performer to be creative.
You only need a part of you that still feels curious. A part of you that knows there is more life, more truth, more expression, more play, and more possibility waiting to come through.
Unleash Your Creative Confidence is a workshop about returning to that part of yourself.
Through reflection, story, music, playful exercises, and practical creative guidance, Oliver Luke Delorie helps you reconnect with the voice, courage, curiosity, and inner permission you may have lost along the way.
This is not about becoming someone else.
It is about remembering who you were before fear, shame, perfectionism, criticism, disappointment, and other people’s expectations taught you to hide.
You feel creatively blocked, scattered, or disconnected from yourself.
You have ideas, dreams, songs, stories, projects, or possibilities you keep postponing.
You want to express yourself more honestly, but something inside keeps hesitating.
You are tired of using self-criticism as fuel.
You want to build a creative life rooted in curiosity, courage, commitment, compassion, and contribution.
You sense that play is not a distraction from your life, but one of the ways back into it.
Begin listening for what feels alive, interesting, playful, and true.
Curiosity is where creative confidence begins. Before you force a plan, polish an outcome, or judge your work, you learn to follow the small signals of aliveness: the idea that keeps returning, the song you cannot forget, the question that will not leave you alone, the project that still glows in the corner.
Move through fear, visibility, shame, and the old stories that keep you hiding.
Creative confidence does not mean fear disappears. It means fear no longer gets to be the director of the whole production. In this section, we explore the stories that keep you small and begin creating a braver relationship with expression, visibility, and being seen.
Choose the next honest creative practice and build roots that can hold it.
Inspiration is beautiful, but rhythm changes lives. Commitment is not about pressure, punishment, or heroic reinvention. It is about choosing one sustainable practice that helps your creative life become real in time, space, body, and action.
Create inner safety, care for the younger self, and stop using criticism as fuel.
Many people do not lack creativity. They lack safety. Compassion helps you stop treating your tender, playful, imaginative self like a problem to be managed. This section explores how inner-child care, gentleness, and emotional repair can support deeper creative freedom.
Share your work, your voice, and your gifts in ways that serve others and strengthen your life.
Creative confidence becomes most powerful when it moves outward. Your voice, stories, songs, ideas, humour, wisdom, and presence are not only for you. They can encourage, comfort, challenge, entertain, nourish, and awaken others.
In this playful workshop, you will be guided through a blend of teaching, reflection, writing prompts, creative exercises, conversation, and gentle invitations to reconnect with your own creative life.
You will explore:
what creative confidence really means
why play matters
how old stories and inner criticism keep you stuck
how to listen for what feels alive
how to choose a sustainable creative practice
how to care for the part of you that wants to create
how your creativity can become a contribution
You will leave with a clearer sense of what is calling you, what has been getting in the way, and one grounded next step you can actually take.
You do not need a finished project.
You do not need a perfect plan.
You do not need to know whether you are “good enough.”
You do not need to call yourself an artist.
You only need to be willing to listen honestly to the part of you that still wants to create, play, express, and become more fully alive.
Oliver Luke Delorie is an author, songwriter, speaker, and producer whose work explores creativity, play, meaning, music, story, and the long journey of coming home to yourself.
For more than 40 years, Oliver has followed creativity across many forms: books, songs, talks, workshops, publishing, food, travel, personal storytelling, and live gatherings. Along the way, he has recorded nearly 1,000 pieces of music across multiple projects, written books on mindfulness and creativity that have sold more than 15,000 copies and been translated into 13 languages, worked with a London publisher for the past decade, and built a body of work rooted in curiosity, emotional honesty, humour, and the healing power of self-expression.
He has lived in six Canadian provinces and territories, as well as in the United States, Australia, and Poland. He has crabbed on the beaches of Haida Gwaii, taught toddlers how to move to music in Ottawa, busked on Grafton Street in Dublin, WWOOFed in the Scottish Outer Hebrides, swam with sharks in Western Australia, marinated beavers on Cortes Island, soaked in remote Icelandic hot springs, and explored personal freedom in the humid jungles of Mexico.
His work is fuelled by the belief that creativity is not only about talent, performance, or productivity. It is about remembering who you are. It is about listening, telling the truth with more courage, caring for the younger parts of yourself, and giving your gifts in ways that strengthen both your life and the lives of others.
Through warmth, humour, music, story, and practical encouragement, Oliver helps people reconnect with the creative power they may have buried under fear, shame, perfectionism, criticism, disappointment, or the simple exhaustion of trying to be who everyone else expected them to be.
At the heart of this work is a simple invitation: come home to your creative self, and begin building a life that feels true.
It is part of how you listen, heal, play, serve, love, and become more fully alive.
Unleash Your Creative Confidence is an invitation to stop waiting for perfect conditions and begin returning to the creative power that has been with you all along.
Bring a notebook, an open mind, and a willingness to follow the next honest spark.
